This Bangor exercise teacher opened her have studio to stand up for Black Mainers

It is straightforward to get stuck in a health and fitness rut, or set off exercising indefinitely. But when there’s a charismatic, encouraging, no-judgment mentor or trainer in your corner, staying healthy isn’t so a great deal a chore as it is a present you give to on your own.

That is how Bangor-dependent trainer and fitness class instructor Skye Washington sees it. From the ethereal, sunny environment of her next-flooring health studio on Park Road in Bangor, she leads classes that she tries to make equivalent areas enjoyable and a good work out.

“I get so much out of encouraging persons truly feel better about by themselves, both mentally and bodily,” Washington explained. “If you come out of my course smiling and sensation like you can get on the earth, then I have done my work.”
