New VA clinics set to open up in Copperas Cove and Killeen

KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) – The Central Texas Veterans Affairs Well being Treatment System on Thursday introduced it experienced awarded contracts for two new group-based mostly outpatient clinics in Copperas Cove and Killeen.

The clinics are scheduled to open this slide. Officers claimed the Copperas Cove clinic will be situated at 336 City Square and the Killeen clinic at 1001 East Veterans Memorial Boulevard, suite 401.

“We are thrilled to present Veterans main wellness treatment alternatives nearer to the place they are living,” claimed Govt Director Michael Kiefer, Central Texas VA Overall health Treatment System.

“Not only will these new VA clinics in Copperas Cove and Killeen present principal treatment, but also women’s wellness companies for our escalating number of girls Veterans.”

VA awarded 10-12 months contracts to Potomac Valor Healthcare and Main Treatment Remedies, Inc. Both contractors are minority and company-disabled Veteran-owned smaller corporations, the VA claimed.

Potomac Valor Healthcare, the contractor for the Copperas Cove clinic, currently delivers wellbeing care for extra than 165,000 Veterans in about 50 VA clinics throughout the country.

“What would make us different is our company is led by not only service-disabled Veterans, but also by doctors,” reported Scott C. Wise M.D., M.B.A., Potomac Valor Healthcare president & CEO.

PCS, the contractor for the Killeen clinic, opened its initial major care clinic in Dallas in 2014 and now operates 10 VA clinics in the U.S. and U.S. Virgin Islands.

“We are psyched about the possibility to provide Veterans in the Killeen area,” reported Derrick Enjoy-Jones, PCS president & CEO, a nurse practitioner, and a provider-disabled Veteran.
