Community man arrested for threatening to blow up urology clinic

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Las Vegas police have arrested a nearby male for threatening to blow up a urology clinic.

Law enforcement say 55-calendar year-aged David Mellor was waiting around for an appointment at the clinic on the 7000 block of Sunset Rd Oct 14 when he grew to become mad about his wait time.

The investigation confirmed he began demanding a $40 refund for his squandered time. When the clinic denied him, he left only to return yet again creating a scene.

Soon after leaving a second time police say he then commenced emailing the clinic’s CEO and others many instances, writing in 1 of them, “Can I question how thick is the bullet proof glass in the ready home?”

Law enforcement say Mellor then began calling the clinic multiple situations working with his husband’s mobile phone line that showed the name Juan Mayen.

In a single of the calls, police say he remaining the subsequent information on Nov. 4, “Hi, I am element of the evening crew and I placed a bomb in the urology building and it is heading to go off in forty-five minutes. It’s eight forty-five proper now, so in forty-five minutes it is heading to go off and blow up you and the staff members.”

On Nov. 26 law enforcement questioned Mayen. Mayen told police that Mellor experienced been off his medicines triggering him to starting to be upset.

Then on Dec. 2 police talked with Mellor and placed him less than arrest for “communicating a bomb risk.”

Mellor was taken to the Clark County Detention Center for booking.
